Calibra’s focus on in-fuel calibration of flow meters used to test and develop combustion engines has given it a unique expertise and edge in this area, reflected in a variety of proprietary solutions embodied in its calibration equipment and software.

Our HyCal™ calibration rigs – designed and built in-house – are dedicated to measuring hydrocarbon fluid mass flows over a range from 3 to 3000 grams per minute. The rigs are easily and quickly adapted to different fuels and engine types (including alcohol blends).

 

Calibra’s calibration process delivers highly accurate results with exceptional efficiency, thanks to proprietary automation software which has been refined over a decade of use. Calibra has also developed custom hardware and software to enhance the performance of the reference coriolis meters in each rig. Our approach also allows for flexibility in meeting customers’ unique requirements with respect to test parameters such as flow rate, temperature, and pressure.


Since 2018, Calibra has been accredited by UKAS to the ISO/IEC 17075:2017 standard for calibration, demonstrating the lab’s technical competence to perform measurements within the accredited scope. Calibra is UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory number 10333.
